Poetry & Motion is the product of it’s Proprietor Alison Gray. Inspired by her passions and experience in creative writing, playing the clarinet and dancing in the ballet, tap and modern dance arenas, as well as her passion for improving the lives of others through her years working in the Not For Profit sector, Alison developed these into a business concept using her extensive management skills and experience. She then began to collaborate with Bedford Free School in December 2016 to run a Workshop with some of their Year 8 (age 12-13) students.
In January 2017, she was announced as the winner of Sage Tank – an online competition sponsored by Sage One, the UK’s leading business software provider, to find the Best Business Idea. This has awarded her the amazing support and assistance of 2 mentors in Paul Lancaster (T: @lordlancaster), ‘Super-Connector’ of businesses, Founder of Newcastle Start Up Week (May 2017), Founder of Plan Digital UK, author and Jonathan Dowden, (T: @jonathandowden) Sage Product Manager – both vastly experienced and knowledgeable in all areas of business start ups and Entrepreneurship.
